If the world was flat - like a pancake - it would float around the universe like a flying saucer (an unidentified flying object). What if the World Was Flat ? You may even fall of the edge ? Explorers wouldn’t be able to circum - navigate the globe - you would sail off the edge - and fish would swim their way through different seas - all rolled into one. And there would be no eclipses of the sun. If the world was flat - then there may be no tidal waves nor hurricaines - only calm waters and no puddles. There would be no mountains to climb - nor trees to swing in. If the world was flat - one country would spill into another so there would be no need for passports nor different currencies. You could cycle your way around the globe. If the world was flat - you could wave at someone in the South Pole from the North Pole looking across the globe. Or throw a ball to someone in Australia from Africa or America.
