He had the answer to every question …
And was a mine of information.
If you asked the wise old owl a query,
He answered straight away …
He knew how to multiply and divide so promptly
That the woodland animals came to see him every day …

1/ 100 x 80 = 8000
2/ (45 x 15) – (5 x 3 x 30) = 675 – 450 = 225
3/ Journey Time = distance / speed per hour = 14 / 2.2 = 6.36 hours – he would be 2.36 hours late
4/ 500 / 3 x 6 = 999.99
5/ greenfly
6/ 4.3 – (10 / 3 = 3 .33 r cm) = 1 cm
7/ (50 x 1000) – (45 x 55) = 50 000 – 2475 = 2 525
8/ (160 x 2) + (260 x 2) = 320 + 520 = 840 m / 2500 = 0.336 hours = 20 minutes
9/ 50 – (8 x 3 x 3 = 72) = – 22
10/ 2 x 35 = 70
