Tom, Tim and Tum

tim-and-tom.jpg

Tom, Tim and Tum were the best of chums and all they wanted to do was have fun. ‘Let’s have a party’, one said to the other. Tom told Tim to turn up at two and to tell Tum to bring two bags of tea (though Tom knew it would cost a bomb). But on the way, Tom tumbled into Tim and Tim took a parking ticket so no – one could come for Tum. Poor Tum. No Tim and no Tom. It was dim when Tim finally got to Tom’s and Tum was numb with the cold. They were all so hungry that Tim’s tummy rumbled and Tom’s tummy sound like a tom – tom drum. Tim drummed on Tum’s door and before long they were off to their party – singing a song with a hum. It was a plum party that Tom and Tim gave Tum. Tom was awfully glad that Tim and Tum could come.
