The hole in his teepee roof was leaking rain again.
His blankets were soaking wet through and the fire had gone out twice.
In fact, he decided, living in a teepee wasn’t very nice.
In ‘ jun Joe couldn’t pay the rent,
Nor could he afford to mend the hole in his tent.
He really did have no idea … how to make the hole remarkably disappear.
First he tried glue, it didn’t work well at all,
Then he tried stitching it … but he could still see the wall.
He bought some tape – to see if that could fix it …
But still he only had a soggy place to sit.
He puffed up a cushion … and used it as a plug,
But the rain poured in through the hole like a slug …
There was enough to fill a mug !
In ‘ jun Joe’s teepee was a real sight to see …
He wondered if he’d ever be able to sleep well, eventually.
