The Soldier Crab Who Loved Ice – Cream Soda

lierutenatne3.jpg

The soldier crab who loved ice – cream soda
Ate so much, that he fell off his boulder.
Just the sight of a lemonade fizz
Made him rattle his pincers
And lick his lips.
He ate soda for breakfast and soda for tea,
He almost drowned in a cream soda sea !
Whilst other crabs ate seaweed and stuff
The soldier crab dreamed of soda,
He really couldn’t get enough !
Soon the soldier crab looked as drunk as a skunk,
When he walked sideways, he made a terrible CLUNCK !
His soda parties were known in high class society,
For having the tastiest soda … and a lack of sobriety !

Answers :
1. 1000 / 2 = 500 x 3 = 1 500 mins / 60 = 25 hours
2. 60 x 3 / 2 = 90
3. (5 x 4 = 20 square m) x 4 x 3 = 240 square cm
4. Lunch Break / Time per quarter sandwich x no. of quarters in one whole = 60 / (2 x 4) = 7.5
5. 10 – (2.99 + 1.99 = 4.98) = £5.02
6. 15 – (15 / 10 x 3 = 4.5 cm) = 10.5 cm
7. 20 – (20 / 10 x 3 = 6) = 14 cm
8. 20 swimmers ; 30 surfers
9. One part = 5 x 60 = 300 / 6 = 50 minutes therefore, 50 : 100 : 150
10. 170 / 7 =24.2 m above sea – level
11. 100 / 5 = 20
12. 20 – (20 / 100 x 12 = 2.4) = 17.6 sandwiches
