1/ If one stick of Blackpool rock costs £0.25, how many can I buy for £5.00 ?

2/ If I walk at a speed of 1.2 km/hour, how long does it take me tor each the end of the 1000 metre promenade ? Give your answer as a decimal and in minutes.

3/ Blackpool Tower can be seen from a radius of 15 km around the surrounding area, what area circle is that ? (Formula 2 II r)

4/ One night in a bed and breakfast hotel in Blackpool costs £24.99 per person. How much does it cost 4 people to stay 3 nights ? Round off your answer to the nearest one hundred.

5/ If I find 600 shells on the beach (cockles, mussels and whelks) in a ratio of 2 : 3 : 4, how many of each do I find ?

6/ I I travel to Blackpool on a coach, travelling at a speed of 35 km / hour, from the other side of Preston 45 km away, how long does it take me to reach the holiday destination ?

7/ Imagine Blackpool pier. If it was 750 metres long and my strides are 75 cm long, how many steps do I take to reach the end of the pier ?

8/ Kiss me Quick ! If I buy a hat for £1.99 – how much change do I receive from £10.00 ?

9/ Whilst wearing my new hat, I get kissed 3 times in three minutes ! How many kisses is that in one hour ?

10/ If I throw a pebble 150 m into the sea and it skims off the waves, hitting the water three times, at what points does it make contact with the sea ?

3/ 2 x 3.14 x 15 = 94.2 square km
4/ 24.99 x 4 x 3 = £299.88 = £300
5/ 600 / 9 = 66.66 r = 133 : 200 : 266
6/ 45 / 35 = 1.28 hours
7/ 750 / 0.75 = 1000
8/ 10 – 1.99 = £8.01
9/ 60 / 3 x 3 = 60 kisses
10/ 150 / 30 = 50 therefore @ 50 m, 100 m and 150 m
