** 17. When Winnie the Pooh sniffed honey, his whiskers started to twitch and he sneezed rather a lot- all because of the honey he’d got. If his whiskers twitched 8 times every time that he smelt a new jar of honey and there were 8 jars, how many times did his whiskers twitch ? **

** 18. Winnie the Pooh washed his red shirt in the washing machine and it shrank ! It was 125 cm wide, but once washed, became one – fifth smaller – how wide was it then ?**
