The TV Lice – nce In Jack’s Beanstalk

In the bark of Jack’s beanstalk there lived a lice – that Jack almost trod on once or twice ! He made his home in the cracks of the wood – and tried to hide from the woodpecker if he could ! Although Jack’ beanstalk swayed in the wind, the lice clung on tight. He liked his life, crawling along the leaves, he thought it was a better home than living in the house’s eaves, or being a flea in somebody’s coat sleeves ! The T.V. lice was so very small, he couldn’t hold the remote control at all … To switch the beanstalk television onto channel one, he had to jump between the buttons – and the remote control weighed a ton ! When it dropped on his toe, he got quite a fright ! You’d never seen such a sight – as the jumpin’ lice, jumpin’ alright ! One day, on the T.V. before his very eyes, the lice saw rice being advertised. His belly started to rumble and he was feeling hungry. He popped to the shops in a hop to buy some for his tea. Once, the T.V. lice started crunching, he couldn’t stop – he was quite greedy. The T.V. lice thought rice was nice – he liked it so much, he ate another slice ! In fact, he ate rice twice. Although the rice was bigger than him – he munched it all – and now is not so slim !
